Our Aluminum Can Collection Trailer has moved! 

Please note that due to construction on main street the PIBA aluminum cans trailer has moved next to the Creamery by Trailhead Park.  Your past and future can donations to support Pine Island Youth Baseball are appreciated!

Help support Pine Island Youth Baseball by saving your aluminum cans!!!  Cans can be dropped off in the trailer parked on the west side of the Creamery near Trailhead Park.  Proceeds are used to support summer baseball for Pine Island youth from players age tee ball through Legion.

Pine Island Legion Post 184 Makes Their 3rd Trip to State

The 2017 Pine Island Legion team advanced to state for the 3rd time in PI Legion history.  The 2013 team also advanced to state and the 1995 team won the state championship.

Friday July 28th vs Springfield:  In their first game at the Legion State Tournament Pine Island played Springfield in Paynesville.  In a well pitched game on both sides Springfield edged Pine Island by a score of 2-0.  Brady Braaten went the distance for Pine Island, allowing only a pair of runs on eight hits.  Pine Island loaded the bases with no outs in both the 6th and the 7th innings but was unable to capitalize on the scoring opportunities.  Game highlights

Saturday July 29th vs BOLD:  In their 2nd game Pine Island went up against BOLD in Spicer.  Keagan Majerus started on the hill for Pine Island.  This game was a 1-1 tie until the 4th inning.  Once again Pine Island threatened multiple times in the early innings with runners in scoring position but plated only one run.  BOLD took a 2-1 lead with one run in the the 4th inning and went on to win 6-1.  Summary     Game highlights

Pine Island finishes their tournament run with a couple of tough losses in the state tournament.  Congratulatons on a fantastic season young men!  You represented the Pine Island Community very well!

Pine Island Legion Post 184 Wins 3rd District Tournament in Waterville/Montgomery
Congratulations to the Pine Island Legion team on their 3rd District 1st Place finish over the past two weekends.  On Saturday July 22nd Pine Island beat previously undefeated Holy Family 4-2 in a great 9 inning game in Waterville.  Pine Island suffered their 1st loss in the tournament to League G rival and 3rd place finisher Goodhue on Saturday evening 14-8 in eight innings.  In the finals on Sunday July 23rd Pine Island rebounded to defeat runner up Kenyon Legion 12-2 in six innings.   Pine Island Legion now advances on the the state tournament July 28-30 in Spicer, MN.  Great job Legion squad and good luck at state!

Interested in becoming involved in Pine Island Youth Baseball?
Our youth program is strong because of the many coaches that volunteer their time and talents to coach our young players.  If you are interested in coaching either traveling or in house teams please contact one of the league coordinators.  You can also volunteer to coach during the sign up process.  If you are interested in becoming active in the Pine Island Baseball Association, you are encouraged to contact one of the board members.  The board meets frequently to discuss our youth baseball program and we are always looking for additional voices to help make the game of baseball better for our Pine Island youth.
